Profile
Work

Mi-Soon Park was born in South Korea and moved to Tokyo in 2005 where she has been living with her own job. She likes to use the warmth and texture of wood cut ; either direct pressing or direct painting on wood panel based on the digital painting . Most of all, the basic concept of her work is that [Ugly = Beautiful]. Where is the definition of the beauty? Exploring Aesthetics is accompanied by not only the beauty but also the circulation of feelings and expression as well. The repetition and transformation of the very new feelings, which are produced from the inner side, are reflected as Expression that is sort of shapeless energy. She believes that the aesthetic satisfaction from the freedom of expression is the way to communicate with Aesthetics and her own identification. Right after learning at her design college, Tokyo became her main stage where she holds an exhibition of her works. Recently, she started the exhibition in New York & Seoul . and she was honored by an art organization in Seoul with the art award in 2011.
